Love is in the air this Valentine’s Day and it’s not too late to grab a reservation at a local Omaha hotspot for your special valentine. GMS Werks might be a little biased to these particular restaurants since we had the pleasure of installing the natural stone at these fan favorites, but we have the inside scoop on the perfect restaurant to take your sweetheart.
At Pitch Pizzeria in Dundee, GMS installed Dekton on the outside bar and patio. It’s a little chilly outside to sit and admire the new countertops, but don’t forget to admire them on your walk by.
Pitch Pizzeria is known for their coal fire pizza and unique ingredients. If you have time before dinner or want a quick date night, check out their happy hour! Just down the street from Pitch Pizzeria and a staple of Dundee is Mark’s Bistro. GMS had the honor of installing granite countertops in the upstairs bar. Mark’s has been serving great food to the Omaha community since 2003 and was voted Best Outdoor Dining Patio by Omaha Magazine in 2015.
Mark’s Bistro has a vast dinner menu and there are options for everyone (be sure to try the macaroni & cheese!). If you are wanting a pre-dinner drink, their half-price wine happy hour is 2:00 pm to close Monday and Tuesday and 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm Wednesday thru Saturday! If you can’t tell already, we kind of have a thing for the Dundee area! Located next to Mark’s Bistro is Jambo Cat cocktail bar and intimate music venue, where GMS installed a new granite countertop at the bar.
If you are looking for a pre-dinner snack and craft cocktail, Jambo Cat is the perfect venue for you and your valentine. Jambo Cat has a wide beer and wine selection, craft cocktails made with the freshest ingredients and snack selections that are provided by Mark’s Bistro. Their hours are Tuesday through Thursday 4:00 pm - 12:00 am and Friday and Saturday 4:00 pm - 1:00 am. Click here to view the live music schedule!
After the original M’s Pub in downtown Omaha caught fire in 2016, they decided to rebuild and asked GMS to install the classic Verde Mera Marble that was on the bartop in the original restaurant.
M’s Pub has always been known for their amazing food and they have continued that tradition at the new restaurant. When you go to M’s Pub and glance at their menu, you will notice some classics from the old menu have been placed on the new menu along with some new items! The 92-year-old Dundee Theater that has been closed since 2013 has recently reopened and GMS was chosen to install the Carrara white marble tables that are located in the Kitchen Table Central restaurant, that is located inside the theater.
